PWAs are a strong fit for business tools, internal software and markets where Android dominates. They are a poor fit for consumer products that depend on notification-driven engagement or on being found in a store.
Is health data in a fitness app subject to HIPAA?
Usually not. HIPAA covers providers, health plans and their business associates — a direct-to-consumer fitness app is normally outside it. That changes the moment you sell to an employer health plan or an insurer, integrate with a provider, or handle data on their behalf.
